Peeple’s Poll results for 2021

For those who don’t know, the Peeple’s Poll is the rating system we have in the RunPee app. Because our app is meant to be used during a movie we can ask users to provide their Expectation Rating before they see the movie. Then after the movie they can add their After Movie Rating. Here’s all the movies we did Peetimes for in 2021. Interesting data for sure!

RunPee News

Spider-Man Peeple’s Poll results over time
Spider-Man: No Way Home is, as of writing, the most popular movie ever in our Peeple’s Poll (92.6)—just barely squeaking past Avengers: Endgame (92.2). Something I was curious about is how the movie’s rating would change over time.
Movies to look forward to in 2022
Just like it says on the tin…fingers crossed nothing will be postponed. I see the potential for three movies this year to break all-time box office records. And besides the tent-pole movies, there are bound to be a handful of unexpectedly good movies that no one’s heard about. Here’s what I think.
All Movie Reviews for 2021
All the movies on the large screen that we did Peetimes for and our handy links for reviewing them (about a hundred). In a normal year, we usually add about 160 movies to the RunPee database. Here’s hoping that 2022 brings us closer to that number.
Independent Films Reviewed in 2021
Being a bit of a hermit, I was quite happy to sit at home and watch a few of the independent films that I was fortunate to be sent, and as a complement to our roundup of mainstream cinema reviews here are the independent films I got to watch in 2021. I’ve split them into two categories: documentary and fiction.
licorice-pizza_square NEW in theaters: Movie Review – Licorice Pizza
I’m baffled that Licorice Pizza has an 8.2/10 rating on IMDB. I’ve read about twenty reviews and now here I sit in complete confusion. I’m going to stand proud and declare this movie was by far the worst of 2021.

It’s the end of our second pandemic year, and things aren’t over yet. Here’s a throwback post to last new year’s with some hopeful thoughts, and wishing 2022 will be better. Stay safe, RunPeeps~!

“I wish it need not have happened in my time,” said Frodo.

“So do I,” said Gandalf, “and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.”
― Gandalf, The Fellowship of the Ring
