|The Lovely Bones|
- those who read the book, saw the movie and felt betrayed
- those who didn’t read the book, but gathered from the trailers that it was going to be a supernatural slasher/thriller and disappointed that it was neither
- Then folks like me who read the book, knew what to expect, and was very forgiving for a few plot holes because it was such a pretty movie

I am in group #1, unfortunately … loved the book, didn’t like the movie too much, except for Tucci and Sarandon’s acting (excellent).
i read the book and didn’t care much for it. sadly the good parts of the book were not in the movie. i thought the movie was lacking. although you are right, the lead character of susie was excellent and so was the villain. they just had bad writing to deal with.
