Movie Review – The Last Full Measure

Read Time:1 Minute, 34 Second

Movie Review - The Last Full MeasureThe Last Full Measure was a difficult movie for me to watch. The more recent war movies, such as Saving Private Ryan or 1917, are exceptional representations of a bloody conflict, and I enjoyed both films, mainly from a historical point of view.

The Last Full Measure took me to a different place for very personal reasons. My brother, Danny, died in VietNam, and, as was described to me, happened near the same time and place as The Last Full Measure.

This said, I want to advise people with a personal connection to that conflict that it may affect you in a similar way. As I was leaving the theater, I saw a very old Asian lady who was obviously deeply touched by the movie.

All of the above notwithstanding, The Last Full Measure was well done. With a dynamic cast under the direction of Todd Robinson, this movie is a hit. Each actor dug deep and wrung out an excellent performance. The battle scenes were well played and brought an element realism that can make your blood run cold.

Obviously, The Last Full Measure isn’t for everyone. However, the target audience will be pleased and that’s what matters.

Grade: B+

About The Peetimes: The first half of the movie gave me 2 good Peetimes, and even though TLFM is 1:50 long, I could not find another Peetime to give you an added break. The last 45 minutes of the movie revealed many bits and pieces of new information that I felt was too important to the outcome of the movie to be used in a Peetime.

There are extra scenes during, or after, the end credits of The Last Full Measure. (What we mean by Anything Extra.)

Got this back when I was pregnant, but I’ll be keeping it forever, it’s just so handy. I don’t go to the movie theater that often (even back before quarantine when you actually could…) but I make sure the app and the movie list are all current and updated, cause it’s so handy! It’s great for running late cause you can read their

Were I wearing one I would take my hat off to you for finding the courage to see this film given your personal circumstances. You’re much stronger than I am. I decided that I couldn’t watch ‘Ordinary Love’ as it would bring back too many memories for me; the trailer for it was right on the fringe of what I could bear even though it has been over thirty years.
