The Last Full Measure was a difficult movie for me to watch. The more recent war movies, such as Saving Private Ryan or 1917, are exceptional representations of a bloody conflict, and I enjoyed both films, mainly from a historical point of view.
The Last Full Measure took me to a different place for very personal reasons. My brother, Danny, died in VietNam, and, as was described to me, happened near the same time and place as The Last Full Measure.
This said, I want to advise people with a personal connection to that conflict that it may affect you in a similar way. As I was leaving the theater, I saw a very old Asian lady who was obviously deeply touched by the movie.

All of the above notwithstanding, The Last Full Measure was well done. With a dynamic cast under the direction of Todd Robinson, this movie is a hit. Each actor dug deep and wrung out an excellent performance. The battle scenes were well played and brought an element realism that can make your blood run cold.
Obviously, The Last Full Measure isn’t for everyone. However, the target audience will be pleased and that’s what matters.
Grade: B+
About The Peetimes: The first half of the movie gave me 2 good Peetimes, and even though TLFM is 1:50 long, I could not find another Peetime to give you an added break. The last 45 minutes of the movie revealed many bits and pieces of new information that I felt was too important to the outcome of the movie to be used in a Peetime.
There are extra scenes during, or after, the end credits of The Last Full Measure. (What we mean by Anything Extra.)
Rated (R) for war violence, and language
Genres: Drama, War
What people are saying
about the RunPee app.Brilliant idea with great information
I’ve been using RunPee for a few years now and it’s basically a requirement of going to the movies for me. The best part of course are the “pee times” that give you cues, synopses and times for when you can pee without missing the most important parts of the movie. There is also information about the credits- length, extras and if there are any extra scenes at the wayyy end. Super helpful to just know that it is or isn’t worth staying. There is a timer function that will buzz your phone when it’s a good time to pee. I also appreciate that the app is very conscientious about it being an app you use in a theater- dark background, all silent alarms etc. I will always enjoy the experience of the theater even if I could watch things at home- but I’ve even used it at home to check for things like after credit scenes or other information too.
