There’s a lot to like, but not much to love. I have never heard of Claressa Shields before, so I knew nothing of the outcome of the story, although I can guess that if they’re making a movie then she had some success.
I now this isn’t a fair comparison, but there was never a Rocky moment in the movie, even though they included a training montage of kids following her as she jogged through the neighborhood. Basically, there’s little to no drama of what’s going to happen in the ring.

The root of her struggle comes after winning a gold meddle and trying to earn a little money in advertising. I guess what’s missing for me is that I can feel her frustration and anger at the situation, but that’s about it. I was hoping for more depth.
I’m really happy to see Brian Tyree Henry in a serious role. I thought he was outstanding.
Grade: C+
About The Peetimes: I’m happy with these Peetimes. There’s a lot of drama and action that no one wants to miss.
The first Peetime is pretty good.
I recommend the second Peetime. It’s almost all a training montage.
The third Peetime has a lot of information about advertising for female athletes that you probably don’t want to miss. That’s why it’s an emergency Peetime.
