The Longest Ride – movie review

Grade: B

The Longest Ride was all in all a pretty good movie. I felt good watching it, I even caught myself smiling throughout the whole thing. It’s a very feel good kind of movie, a real “All American” love story. They took two extremely different things, being bull-riding and art, and mixed the two worlds very tastefully. If you’re looking to sit back with your loved one and watch a touching, heart warming movie- this is it.

Nicholas Sparks is very good at what he does. All of his books are amazing, and I’ve read quite a few over the years. Now, this movie has nothing on The Notebook, who could touch that? But I would say its definitely one of his top 5 movies. (He’s released 11) The way he brings all these different elements into a simple love story is exhilarating, time and time again.
This movie is absolutely perfect for a date night. You will leave the theater smiling and happy, young and in love. Isn’t that the best way? It was very refreshing and I’m very happy I decided to see this movie, it lived up to all the standards I had set for it.longest-ride
