Movie Review – Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City

Was it bad? Yes.

Was it as bad as I expected? No. The previous Resident Evil movie set that bar so low I can’t imagine anyone getting under it, even if they tried.

So at least there’s that.

The acting was sometimes amateur YouTube channel bad. But you can’t fault the actors when the dialog is so woeful and the characters are just a grab-bag of random characteristics that make no particular sense.

What about the zombies?

Pretty much the run-of-the-mill slobbering zombies. Nothing new to see here.

The good/bad news, depending on where you stand, is that they have essentially rebooted the franchise by going back to 1998 to tell this story. So expect a lot more bad zombie movies to come.

By the way, if you want to see an excellent zombie movie then check out The Crazies. That was as good as the genre has to offer.

About The Peetimes: I have 3 good Peetimes here. I’d recommend the 2nd or 3rd.

RunPee is an excellent app that has all the info you need when going to the movies. Whenever I go to a movie, I open up the app and know when the best time to dip to the bathroom is. They have pee times for movies just a few hours after their release and it shows the dedication the team has for the service. Definitely recommend for any movie-goer.
