Tom Hanks is at it again. News Of The World was magnificent. I’m not sure if there is a role out there that Hanks can’t master. He fit the part better than little Forrest Gump’s shoes fit.
It’s a slow moving movie, but for a very good reason. They immersed you into the Old West. They really planned the movie’s timing perfectly. The flow was like a lazy river. You enjoyed the pace because anything faster would have taken away from the meaning behind everything they were shooting for.

It’s a touching movie but it also makes you realize all the wrongs we as the human race have made. We’ve destroyed so much, wronged so many people, and overlooked others’ suffering in the name of the almighty dollar.
We took our seven year old granddaughter and she was even able to pick up on what they were striving to get across to the audience. She liked it, but I wouldn’t recommend taking someone that young. Towards the last half hour she started getting antsy.
I’m giving this movie two thumbs up. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. Happy Holidays everyone, and here’s to wishing you a safe and happy New Year.
