Movie Review – National Champions

national-champions_header

National Champions did a great job of breaking down the behind-the-scenes of college sports. It’s definitely an eye-opener to things I personally had never thought of. The athletes that get out there and give us our Saturday game day really do it at a cost to themselves.

This movie points out the entire breakdown on what these games bring in (billions of dollars) and where it goes. Again, I had never thought about this.

The movie is fairly long, but they needed a slow pace to bring all the little things together.

If you’re going to see it for football action, heads up, there is none. We see a few clips of plays, but they never enter the field.

The purpose of this film was for telling the story of the fight for fair compensation, equality, and respect for the student-athletes. I think they did a great job.

Must have app if you love the movies

If you’re like me and enjoy a 92oz soda as part of the movie experience, you’ll be thankful for this app telling you the best times to go for a quick break. Whether that’s to refill your soda or recycle it.

Possibly an even better feature is the info on if the movie has after credits scenes. There’s nothing worse than sitting there reading about who the key grip was, then finding out that’s all you did. I blame Marvel for the stupid trend.

Seriously, I see a dozen movies a month and use this app every single time. Worth every Penny of the infinity coin thing I bought.
