Movie Review – Jobs

I went into this movie not knowing anything about Steve Jobs except that he had something to do with Apple. This really isn’t my kind of movie. It made me super sad. I had no idea he was such a mental case. Ashton Kutcher did a great job. I was expecting Weldon from Two and a Half Men. Jobs was anything but…he definitely brought some drama to the screen, for sure.

I’ve read some critical reviews, and they all pretty much say this movie moves at a snail’s pace. I guess not knowing anything about it helped me personally. I didn’t notice the snail’s pace since it was all new to my eyes. A friend saw the movie and said they were bored to tears. He is a tech guy, so he already knew all the drama behind Jobs.

In my opinion it was okay. When I left the theater and went home I Googled him so I could learn more about the guy. That says a lot to me. Normally with movies like this I forget them as soon as I leave. This one made me want to know more.

About The Peetimes: I would go for the second peetime if I were you. The first one is where you meet some of the characters for the first time. The second one was easier to sum up in my opinion.

There are no extra scenes during, or after, the end credits of Jobs. (What we mean by Anything Extra)

This is a great app. I wish more people would support it

This app provides info about movies, reviews, ratings from people who have seen it before and after viewing. It has links to info about the movies. It let’s you know when there will be a lull in the action and how long it will last. If you want to know what happens during that time, you can check the brief synopsis (you have to click a link, so no accidental spoilers). It has a timer you can set (silent) to alert you to a break. It also tells you whether there is anything extra during or after the credits. It’s really a wonderful app. I’ve subscribed for a couple of years to support the developers, but I noticed some of the links to provide feedback didn’t seem to work today. They also made it free, with voluntary donations to see the pee-times. If you haven’t tried it, I encourage you to do so, and subscribe if you like it. I really hope the app is supported so it can continue to be maintained!

Developers note: RunPee doesn’t make much money but it supports itself nicely. Donations are appreciated, but not required. We’ll add as many movies to the database as we can until there are no more movie theaters.

Christene Johnson (RunPee Sis)

RunPee.com owes RunPee Sis a huge debt of gratitude. She sees any movie needed with no complaints and has done so for ten years (even basing Thanksgiving and Christmas family festivities around the seeing films). In 2015 Sis ran the entire RunPee enterprise herself, while RunPee Dan, Jilly and Mom went traipsing off to Europe. Sis is the spider in the web holding the RunPee family together — besides being a funny, well rounded person, and a joyous pleasure to be around. Her favorite films start and end with horror (which thank goodness she’s happy to see, since most of us don’t have the stomach for it) — but also likes silly comedies, sad dramas, and musicals of all types. If you’ve used a Peetime for a scary film, you probably have RunPee Sis to thank for it.

Favorite movie genre: Horror, horror, and more horror. The more disturbing, the better. Period.
