The new James Bond movie will be the 26th official film in the series, and the loss of Daniel Craig from the lead role means that it could be an opportunity to reboot the franchise. With 2021’s No Time to Die ending the Craig era with a bang, the key question is now whether the next film gives us something new and unexpected.

Possible Plot Lines
There have been no clues yet as to what the plot of Bond 26 could be about, nor what its title may be. With no details expected until next year at the earliest, we’re simply playing a waiting game. Trying to see what books haven’t yet been adapted for the big screen isn’t as easy as it seems, as directors have increasingly taken fragments from one book and put them into movies based on other Bond books.
One aspect we can hopefully expect to see more of is Bond’s skills in the casino, which includes playing baccarat and poker, among other games. The way that more people now play roulette online at Betfair Casino is an example of how this game has changed since the early movies in the franchise. Now more accessible thanks to live-streamed games with human dealers, it’s possible that filmmakers could use this as a plot device to give a modern twist to the classic trope.
On the other hand, the Bond creative team could go back in time. The 007 books are set from the early 1950s through to the mid-1960s, so it wouldn’t be a huge leap to imagine the next movie featuring an origin story set during World War Two or just after it. His backstory in the first book explains that he was already an experienced agent and had operated for the Royal Navy in the war, so it makes sense in a lot of ways.
Who Will Play Bond? The First Female 007?
One of the big questions that fans are asking is: who will replace Craig as 007? Among the most unexpected suggestions is that a female James Bond could follow in the footsteps of the actors who’ve played this iconic role. Lashana Lynch played MI6 agent, Nomi, in No Time to Die and it’s been suggested that she could play Bond in a future movie.
This article from ScreenRant puts forward the name of Jodie Comer as an actress who could handle the role of a female 007. The English actress has taken on varied roles until now, with her performance in Killing Eve perhaps giving us the best indication that she could take Bond in a completely new direction if given the chance.

about the RunPee app.
Brilliant idea with great information
I’ve been using RunPee for a few years now and it’s basically a requirement of going to the movies for me. The best part of course are the “pee times” that give you cues, synopses and times for when you can pee without missing the most important parts of the movie. There is also information about the credits- length, extras and if there are any extra scenes at the wayyy end. Super helpful to just know that it is or isn’t worth staying. There is a timer function that will buzz your phone when it’s a good time to pee. I also appreciate that the app is very conscientious about it being an app you use in a theater- dark background, all silent alarms etc. I will always enjoy the experience of the theater even if I could watch things at home- but I’ve even used it at home to check for things like after credit scenes or other information too.

There are many possible options that the franchise could take from this point onwards, meaning that the next film in the series is vital to its future. However, producer Barbara Broccoli has already pointed out that they’re taking a break from the franchise before returning, with Digital Spy reporting that no script exists and no casting has taken place. This means that it will probably be 2024 or 2025 before we can watch the next installment of Bond’s adventures.
