Breaking Down the Peeple’s Poll results for Oppenheimer by age and gender

Read Time:1 Minute, 25 Second

By any standard, Oppenheimer was a box-office hit. It was also a critically acclaimed movie racking up high ratings. Here we break down the expectation and final rating for the movie across different age groups and genders.

The first thing that stands out is that the movie performed better than expectation for all age groups and genders. What might be slightly more surprising is that for all age groups combined women’s final rating (85.2) was slightly lower than men’s final rating (88.7). However, the improvement over expectation is notably higher for women (+4.5 to +2.6) because their expectation going in was lower.

Another datum that jumps out is the women’s 60+ age group had the highest expectation among female’s and by far the highest final rating and also the biggest expectation difference across all age groups and genders with a +7.2.

Couldn’t live without this app anymore. Perfect to time my run for another glass of wine or two. Works great with my smart watch.
