If you know anything at all about Dune, the grand brick-sized novel by Frank Herbert, you know there are gigantic, dangerous, and strangely helpful Sandworms featured in it. It doesn’t matter if you’re a fan or hater of the Lynch movie version, Sy Fy’s mini-series, or the potential interpretation by Jodorowsky. One thing they all keep intact are the worms, and the use of the Bene Gesserit Voice.
Why Fatboy Slim made a top pop song about Dune remains a mystery (they must be fans, I guess. Like Led Zepplin and The Lord of the Rings). But the song is undeniably catchy, the lyrics are super fun…and the wacked out video with Christopher Walken FLYING around a hotel atrium is truly inspired.

Movie Watching Must Have!!
I go feral for this app. I love it so much and I wish everyone knew about it and used it. It is incredibly useful and I would be devastated if this app ever disappeared. Things I love: 1) the pee times! It’s so handy to know the best time to go and then read the synopsis of what’s happening while I’m gone. I never have to worry about missing the good bits! 2) knowing if there is a post-credits scene or not. This might be my fav feature because I would have missed out on some pretty critical scenes if it weren’t for RunPee. 3) the movie review and viewer rankings. This info has made me watch some movies that I normally wouldn’t and it’s nice seeing things outside of my usual scope. 4) that it’s a small family run business. I love shopping small and it really does feel like I’m part of the RunPee family! If you reach out to them, Dan will personally respond to you and he is so warm and helpful. Can Dune be done? Should Dune be done? Bringing Long Books to the Screen

I’d always been so distracted by Christopher Walken flying around the room that i never much paid attention to the lyrics other than “walk without ryhthym, it won’t attract the worm”.
I am a huge Dune fan (or i guess i should say original dune? Not a huge reader of the prequels), so much so that when my husband and I got married I walked down the aisle to music from the Syfy miniseries.
Great choice. The OST for Children of Dune by Brian Tyler is very grand. It works perfect for a wedding march.
OK, that’s one the BEST stories ever. And I can join you – when I got married, I walked down the aisle to the Throne Room March from Star Wars. And the reception was Middle Earth-themed. We’re a couple of true geeks, huh?
