The Martian-Deleted Scenes and Additional Footage
The Martian is, hands down, one of my favorite movies of all time. It's a great example of science fiction at its best because it barely feels like a science fiction movie. It really feels like a recreation of an actual event. Actually, it feels like they just filmed a real event.
If you think the movie was great, then hang on, because there is even more. Here's some of the deleted scenes that make the movie even better.
The sleeping quarters bit was my favorite. I'm glad they left out the voice-over at the end. What they did in the movie was better.
Additional Footage: Ares 3: The Right Stuff (2015)
The crew are interviewed after 10 days in isolation. Hillarious stuff.

(Did they really get Morgan Freeman to narrate this?)

Our adventure is just beginning. Neil deGrasse Tyson examines the upcoming Ares 3 mission and their #JourneyToMars in this special episode of StarTalk.
(NGT is in the HOUSE. What a cool promo.)
If the movie isn't awesome enough by itself, The Martian soundtrack (YouTube Music) is one of my favorites as well. I listen to it often while I'm writing code for the RunPee app.
