Movie Review – White Boy Rick

White Boy Rick was very well done. The acting and directing was superb. They were able to completely immerse the audience in that time and place.

Mathew McConaughey was awesome. He rocked this role, just like he always does. I’m pretty sure he can do anything.

I’ve never seen Richie Merritt in anything before, but this kid can act. He did an outstanding job.

Everything about the movie was wonderful, except that it was depressing as all get out. It was always dark and dreary. The streets were ugly with litter and rundown houses. I understand that it painted the picture of how their lives were, but I’m just not a fan of such bleakness.

The story behind how the FBI really screwed this kid is infuriating. But as I say that, the story behind how he was involved with the FBI is infuriating too. This kid’s life was wasted because of his father’s actions. He paid dearly for loving his father.

So, all in all, I’m giving this movie a B-. It’s a story about how drugs and crime can totally screw your life up. I wonder just how many movies about this type of stuff have been made. It’s a shame.

People will continue to make bad choices; that’s never going to change. So that means we’re going to keep seeing these true-life movies — there’s just too much inspiration in the world to not make them. So, does crime pay? If you ask Hollywood, it does.

Grade: B-

About the Peetimes: This was an easy movie to do Peetimes for. They both worked out really well, with good cue times and easy summaries.

This is a great app. I wish more people would support it

This app provides info about movies, reviews, ratings from people who have seen it before and after viewing. It has links to info about the movies. It let’s you know when there will be a lull in the action and how long it will last. If you want to know what happens during that time, you can check the brief synopsis (you have to click a link, so no accidental spoilers). It has a timer you can set (silent) to alert you to a break. It also tells you whether there is anything extra during or after the credits. It’s really a wonderful app. I’ve subscribed for a couple of years to support the developers, but I noticed some of the links to provide feedback didn’t seem to work today. They also made it free, with voluntary donations to see the pee-times. If you haven’t tried it, I encourage you to do so, and subscribe if you like it. I really hope the app is supported so it can continue to be maintained!

Developers note: RunPee doesn’t make much money but it supports itself nicely. Donations are appreciated, but not required. We’ll add as many movies to the database as we can until there are no more movie theaters.

Christene Johnson (RunPee Sis)

RunPee.com owes RunPee Sis a huge debt of gratitude. She sees any movie needed with no complaints and has done so for ten years (even basing Thanksgiving and Christmas family festivities around the seeing films). In 2015 Sis ran the entire RunPee enterprise herself, while RunPee Dan, Jilly and Mom went traipsing off to Europe. Sis is the spider in the web holding the RunPee family together — besides being a funny, well rounded person, and a joyous pleasure to be around. Her favorite films start and end with horror (which thank goodness she’s happy to see, since most of us don’t have the stomach for it) — but also likes silly comedies, sad dramas, and musicals of all types. If you’ve used a Peetime for a scary film, you probably have RunPee Sis to thank for it.

Favorite movie genre: Horror, horror, and more horror. The more disturbing, the better. Period.
