Movie Review - The Boys in the Boat

The Boys in the Boat

I found this to be a simple but compelling story. I have no idea of the real history of this event, but the way the story is told it is obvious what will happen. However, that doesn't make it any more compelling.

This movie feels more like an old made-for-TV drama. Unless you really want to go to the theater, I would recommend that this movie could be enjoyed on streaming at home. In the credits it was listed as an Amazon production so I'm sure it will be on Prime fairly soon.

The entire cast turned in good acting performances. Nothing that is going to win any awards, but a good job by all. That speaks to the fine job of directing done by George Clooney. Speaking of which, I think George would have done a fine job as the team coach, not to say that Joel Edgerton didn't do an adequate job.

If you want to see an inspiring story, then put this on your watchlist.
