Movie Review – The Boss Baby: Family Business

boss-baby-2

The Boss Baby: Family Business is, as you probably expected, meant for young children. There’s enough wild antics to appeal to pre-schoolers and two, simple to follow, plots. One about brotherhood. The other about self-confidence. Both of which are good lessons for pre-teens.

[su_spoiler title=”Plot (Spoilers)”] The Templeton brothers have become adults and drifted away from each other, but a new boss baby with a cutting-edge approach is about to bring them together again – and inspire a new family business.[/su_spoiler]

This is far from Pixar-good, but it’s not bad. It pretty much does its job. Although it wasn’t very funny. There were three families in the theater with me, each with a few children, and I only remember hearing one of them laugh out loud once. There are a few adult references thrown in here and there, but none of them got much of a reaction.

Grade: B-

About The Peetimes: I have 3 good Peetimes to choose from. After the last Peetime, there are still about 35 minutes left in the movie containing a lot of action the kids won’t want to miss.

There are no extra scenes during, or after, the end credits of The Boss Baby: Family Business. (What we mean by Anything Extra.)

Must have app if you love the movies

If you’re like me and enjoy a 92oz soda as part of the movie experience, you’ll be thankful for this app telling you the best times to go for a quick break. Whether that’s to refill your soda or recycle it.

Possibly an even better feature is the info on if the movie has after credits scenes. There’s nothing worse than sitting there reading about who the key grip was, then finding out that’s all you did. I blame Marvel for the stupid trend.

Seriously, I see a dozen movies a month and use this app every single time. Worth every Penny of the infinity coin thing I bought.

Developers note: the RunPee app is now, and always will be, 100% free. Donations are optional.
