Movie Review - It (Chapter 1)
Normally RunPee Sis sees the horror films like this, but since she lives in Orlando she's in hurricane prep mode right now -- her own horror movie. So I've been pressed into duty.
Both the critics (90%) and users (92%) at RottenTomatoes.com gave this movie high marks. Personally, I was a little bored by the predictable nature of the story, but like I said, not my cup of tea.
I was impressed by the acting performances. Especially from Sophia Lillis (as Beverly Marsh). I think she has a long career ahead of her.
I never read the book, so I can't say if it remains true to the source.
Sorry I can't give you more, but as I said, critics and users alike give the movie high marks, so I guess it's a good horror film.
