Hokum is one of those rare horror movies that should click with pretty much anyone, even if you’re not usually into the genre. It’s packed with constant creeping dread, solid suspense, clever jump scares, a touch of gore, and supernatural weirdness, all wrapped up in a solid murder-mystery hook.
The story follows a novelist with writer’s block who heads to a remote, haunted hotel in Ireland to scatter his parents’ ashes. Before long, he’s pulled into investigating a disappearance and ends up trapped in the off-limits Honeymoon Suite. Wouldn’t you know it?
Adam Scott is fantastic as a sarcastic, prickly ass, a new type of role for him, I believe. The way he delivers lines with a dry, cutting edge is mwah — chef’s kiss.

This app is the best wingman for a movie goer, especially when you have to go. It even has a vibrating timer that is spot on for those 'go times' some of us need! There are many other features that are wonderful. It even lets you know when the kill scenes are coming up for the people and animals for those who may have sensitivities to that type of content. The staff go above and beyond!
