Movie Review – Family Camp

family-camp_header

This is a guest review from a RunPee fan who was able to see this limited-release movie.

Family Camp wasn’t a bad movie. I enjoyed it for what it was. I would have liked a little bit more comedy bits. The religious bits were not over the top, in my opinion, but might strike other people differently.

The story arc is your usual family learning to come together and fix some problems. I’m sure to some people, in the right place in life, this movie could potentially inspire or reinforce family. But for me, I couldn’t stop thinking: take the Great Outdoors (John Candy and Dan Aykroyd), chop it up a bit. Move some bits around. Throw out some bits. Less comedic beats. Add some religious points. And soup….”

Overall to me, It was fine. I enjoyed some bits. Nothing great or bad. I’m not mad I saw it or felt it waste my time. But definitely not a run out and see again or purchase for me.

Must have app if you love the movies

If you’re like me and enjoy a 92oz soda as part of the movie experience, you’ll be thankful for this app telling you the best times to go for a quick break. Whether that’s to refill your soda or recycle it.

Possibly an even better feature is the info on if the movie has after credits scenes. There’s nothing worse than sitting there reading about who the key grip was, then finding out that’s all you did. I blame Marvel for the stupid trend.

Seriously, I see a dozen movies a month and use this app every single time. Worth every Penny of the infinity coin thing I bought.
