Evil Dead Burn is what you expect it to be: dark, violent and gory. But man, watching and enjoying it is a bit of a slog.
That’s not to say it’s not “good.” Horror fans (of whom I’m not really one) will rejoice and understandably so. It’s fast-paced, goes barreling non-stop from about 20 minutes in to the conclusion, and the gore is creative and constant.

That being said, it’s a situation where you might want to go home afterward and take a shower and read a Bible or something.
You still get some classic Raimi touches from the early Evil Dead films: drone work, tilted angles, closeups. But it seems they’ve lost the fun of those earlier works. This is deadly serious, with a possible punchline from a Deadite thrown in here and there.

I've loved this app for years and use it at the theater and home. Super easy to use and so helpful to know when it's a good time to run for the restroom. I notify my kids when it's close to time, so I don't end up running them to the restroom multiple times. (Updated review from 4 to 5 .
