Buddy is a big orange unicorn—almost exactly like a certain purple dinosaur named Barney from the children’s show of the 1990s. His program is nearly an identical copy of that one: kids singing songs, dancing, playing, and generally adoring their host.

And Buddy is almost like Barney… except he’s a narcissistic, controlling monster.
I really don’t want to go into any more detail, because you need to leave your brain at the door and walk into this horror film—yes, horror film—with no expectations of what’s coming.

RunPee is one of my favourite apps. No more googling a film before you see it and risking spoilers, this app has everything you need to know, not just the best time to go to the toilet. Dan, the developer, also offers an amazing customer service experience. I recently switched phones, and Dan was very generous in sorting things out with me as I moved over to my current system. The director and co-writer of Buddy is the same person who made the Adult Swim short “Too Many Cooks,” a bizarre take on ’80s sitcoms that gradually turns into a horror piece. If you’ve seen it, you’ll recognize the mix of laughs and shocks here. If you haven’t seen it, you must YouTube it right now.
I’m a little embarrassed to say how much I enjoyed this; I laughed and laughed throughout.

Plot
