This review really doesn’t matter.

If you’re a big Billie Eilish fan, you’ll absolutely love this movie. If you’re not, chances are you won’t bother seeing it anyway.

Full disclosure: I went into this thinking Billie Eilish is…fine. She’s clearly very talented, and I like some of her songs, but I wouldn’t call myself a huge fan by any means.

Honestly, I’m the nerd who really wanted to see this because James Cameron directed it — in 3D, no less! I was expecting him to pull out all the stops with incredible camera work.

Did he? Well, not really. It’s very competently shot for a concert film, with cameras from every possible angle. But is it groundbreaking? Not at all. Keep in mind Billie is mostly alone onstage the entire time — the musicians and backup singers aren’t usually on stage with her. So it all rests on her energy and stage presence. And she delivers. She has tons of charisma, great energy, and sounds excellent live.

This app is the best wingman for a movie goer, especially when you have to go. It even has a vibrating timer that is spot on for those 'go times' some of us need! There are many other features that are wonderful. It even lets you know when the kill scenes are coming up for the people and animals for those who may have sensitivities to that type of content. The staff go above and beyond!

My biggest complaint was the constant cuts to her adoring fans crying and singing along. I get it – if I were a 16-year-old girl, I’d probably be right there with them. But a few of those shots go a long way, and this movie has way too many.

As for the 3D, it’s nothing revolutionary. I saw it in Dolby 3D, which is the best format I’ve experienced, and it didn’t exactly blow me away. So you probably don’t need to see it in 3D. The most important thing is watching it on the biggest screen possible, because they tend to have the best sound, and that’s what counts for this movie.

Grading a concert film is tricky because it depends so much on how much you like the artist. I’ll give it a B, because it did really make you feel like you’re there. But honestly, it doesn’t really matter. You already know whether you want to see this or not.

Grade: B
