Marvel Studios’ Hawkeye Official Trailer

Hawkeye

Marvel Studios released the first Hawkeye trailer and it looks fantastic. Lots of potential for humor and action. I can’t wait.

There are eight episodes airing weekly on Disney+ — starting November 24th.

Cast

Jeremy Renner will of course star as Clint Barton. And this series introduces Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop. I remember first seeing Hailee in the True Grit remake back in 2010. I knew then she was going to be a star. Even at the young age of 14 she had… grit. 🙂 She also stared in Bumblebee, and Last Call Pitches, among many others.

You can briefly see Vera Farmiga as Eleanor Bishop in the trailer, along with Brian d’Arcy James, Zahn McClarnon, and Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez.

This is a great app. I wish more people would support it

This app provides info about movies, reviews, ratings from people who have seen it before and after viewing. It has links to info about the movies. It let’s you know when there will be a lull in the action and how long it will last. If you want to know what happens during that time, you can check the brief synopsis (you have to click a link, so no accidental spoilers). It has a timer you can set (silent) to alert you to a break. It also tells you whether there is anything extra during or after the credits. It’s really a wonderful app. I’ve subscribed for a couple of years to support the developers, but I noticed some of the links to provide feedback didn’t seem to work today. They also made it free, with voluntary donations to see the pee-times. If you haven’t tried it, I encourage you to do so, and subscribe if you like it. I really hope the app is supported so it can continue to be maintained!

Developers note: RunPee doesn’t make much money but it supports itself nicely. Donations are appreciated, but not required. We’ll add as many movies to the database as we can until there are no more movie theaters.

Plus, Florence Pugh returns, in some capacity, as Yelena Belova from Black Widow.

Rodgers: The Musical

There are clips of Rodgers: the musical in the trailer. I’m guessing that Hawkeye and family are in NYC to see the premiere. I really hope we get to see plenty of the musical and some interactions with Hawkeye and the cast.

Other Marvel TV

So far I’ve been really pleased with the Disney+ Marvel series. I didn’t love Scarlet Witch, but I thought it was pretty good. Captain America and the Winter Soldier was really good. I loved the interaction between the two leads: they really fleshed out the post-snap world. And Loki was just a blast to watch.

It’s going to be a great holiday season for Marvel fans. We get the Hawkeye series, The Eternals, and Spiderman: No Way Home all in the span of about six weeks.

What do you think? Ready for some more Hawkeye?

  1. The Marvel Plus shows seem to be focusing on characters with narrative story gaps (or were not developed much in the 1st place). So Hawkeye makes sense.

I wonder if we will get a Hulk show illustrating how Banner and Hulk resolved their differences and became Professor Hulk? I’d like to see that one, please.

  2. Also, Rogers: The Musical? I’d pay good money to see that IRL.

  3. I’ve really enjoyed the Disney+ series – Wandavision was my fave – so I’m feeling positive about this one. Hawkeye in the movies is a big old nothing, so it will be good to see him actually have a real story line.
I haven’t seen the young woman in anything, but the preview looked great. Can’t wait!
