Movie Review - Zootopia 2
It's been a while since I did the Peetimes for a children's animated movie. I forgot how hard it is. So many antics that the kids obviously enjoyed. I could see a kid sitting diagonally in front of me, and wow, he was engaged to say the least. That's the first, and most important thing, a parent needs to know. From what I could tell, the kids in the theater, and there were a lot of them, were animated.
The message(s)
The movie delivers multiple messages. The thematic message is one of acceptance of different types. Zootopia is inhabited almost exclusively by mammals after pushing out the reptiles about 100 years previously. Did I say "pushed out?" More like expelled. This storyline reminded me of the Jewish Holocaust, minus the death camps, after having made a crucial contribution to the formation of Zootopia, the ruling Lynx cats frame the snakes and eventually have nearly all reptiles expelled.
The two main characters, Judy and Nick, also explore important themes of introspection and self-analysis.

Plot
After cracking the biggest case in Zootopia's history, rookie cops Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde find their partnership isn't as solid as they thought when Chief Bogo orders them to join the Partners in Crisis counseling program. But it doesn't take long for their partnership to be put to the ultimate test when they find themselves on the twisting trail of a mystery tied to the arrival of a venomous snake in the animal metropolis.
