Movie Review - The Bikeriders
The Bikeriders starts off following Kathy (Jodie Comer) into the bar the club hangs out in. On a chance encounter, she meets up with Benny (Austin Butler) and it's almost love at first sight. Kathy is a trip, she has such a screen presence that her style blew me away, and she almost hypnotized me with her quirky, no-bull attitude. The great acting didn't stop there, the supporting cast was the perfect ensemble in this period piece.
This was a trip down memory lane for my husband, he was born in Chicago right around the time of the movie. All the cars and motorcycles had him drooling in his seat. He appreciated the attention to detail that the movie used.
There was something in this movie for both of us, I loved the love story and he loved the look of it. This would make a great date night movie. Maybe not if it's your first date but if you've been married for 34 years like us, it's a great way to spend an evening.
As always, Tom Hardy nailed his role. He was authentic; I think that's the best way to describe him.
Check it out. I'd recommend this one.
