Movie Review - Stillwater

Stillwater moves at a snail's pace. They did that for a reason. You are slowly led into Bill's (Matt Damon) life as the rest of the movie emerged. I read a bunch of reviews before seeing it and have to say I disagree. They were mostly negative and others trashed the movie. I found it to be wonderful. I should perhaps rephrase that as wonderfully sad.
There are some lines that made the whole theater laugh, but they were few and far between. There are so many layers to the movie that intertwine to complete a very well-thought-out story and those precious few funny lines kept up the pace.
It's not a movie that will bring you joy and laughter. It's more like dissecting your life and figuring out where you went wrong and trying to fix it. Life is a struggle and this movie shows that in a very artistic way.
