Movie Review - Respect
Wow! What a movie. It was just as powerful as the amazing voice of Aretha Franklin. I loved it. Anyone and everyone should see this biography of a legend.
This is one of the movies that comes out and captures your attention instantly. By the time the movie was over, I had a list of things that I wanted to go look up and learn more about. My only slight complaint is I wish they would have gone into more detail on a few things. I feel like they kind of glossed over some of the more personal things. Adding another twenty minutes would have been wonderful. I still loved it though, I was easily able to find out about the glossed over parts. I'm being entirely honest here, I looked up my questions as soon as I got into my car and then jammed out to her greatest hits on my way home.
Jennifer Hudson was glamorous, beautiful, and perfect for the part. I read that Aretha Franklin hand-picked her for the role. She nailed that decision. This film will gain Miss Hudson even more Respect. She truly did an amazing job.
Great movie, awesome music, and a wonderful addition to the biographic films out there that touch our hearts.
