Grade: A+
I was blown away by this movie. First of all, it gave me a whole new respect for the police officers that fight for our protection everyday. It really is a thankless job. They risk their lives everyday and don’t get the respect they deserve. It’s scary out there. So I want to take this moment to thank them all. You are very brave individuals.
On to the movie. Wow. Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Pena were terrific! The emotions that they pulled out were top notch. When they were driving around in their cruiser and chatting with each other, I felt like I was watching two cops that were not only partners but brothers also. I kept forgetting it was a movie.

Even the thugs were great. The director of this movie, (David Ayer), did a splendid job on how everyone portrayed their characters. It felt real. I will not say anything more because the ending took me by surprise and I don’t want to ruin anything.
