Movie Review - Book Club: The Next Chapter
There's no denying that this movie set out to do what it intended. It's fun galavanting around with these four long-time friends in exotic Italy. There are numerous laugh-out-loud moments in the movie and every actress gets her fair shot at the spotlight.
Kudos to the writers: Bill HoldermanErin Simms. I'm moderately impressed with the way the writers chose to end the movie. It could have gone many different ways, and most of them would have been sappy. But they threaded the needle and found a satisfying, yet not wholly expected, ending.
I hope this movie makes enough, and all the parties are interested in making this into a trilogy: Book Club: The Last Chapter.
