Movie Review – Book Club: The Next Chapter

Read Time:1 Minute, 7 Second

There’s no denying that this movie set out to do what it intended. It’s fun galavanting around with these four long-time friends in exotic Italy. There are numerous laugh-out-loud moments in the movie and every actress gets her fair shot at the spotlight.

Kudos to the writers: Bill HoldermanErin Simms. I’m moderately impressed with the way the writers chose to end the movie. It could have gone many different ways, and most of them would have been sappy. But they threaded the needle and found a satisfying, yet not wholly expected, ending.

I hope this movie makes enough, and all the parties are interested in making this into a trilogy: Book Club: The Last Chapter.

Grade: B

About The Peetimes: I have 3 good Peetimes to choose from. I don’t think either is any better than another, so let your bladder decide. 🙂

There are extra scenes during, or after, the end credits of Book Club: The Next Chapter.

One of the most useful apps I’ve ever come across. I’ve used it for years and recommended it to all my friends. Even if I’m not the type to have to pee during movies often, being able to pull up the app and pass my phone to my mom/friend/grandma so that they know when to go to the bathroom has been invaluable. Because then I don’t have to summarize anything when they get back!!
