The Fall Guy was a TV show, running from 1981-1986, starring Lee Majors and Heather Thomas. The show was about the adventures of a film stuntman who moonlights as a bounty hunter when movie work is slow.

The Fall Guy 2024 movie starring Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt is inspired by the original TV show, but doesn’t follow it exactly. Both of the main characters share the same name: Colt Seavers, and both are stuntmen, and in both shows there is a mystery to solve.

There is an extra scene about 4 minutes into the credits of The Fall Guy 2024. In the scene, the helicopter that Tom Ryder and producer Gail Meyer in crashes to the ground. Both get out and are surrounded by police officers. Lee Majors plays the officer in charge and next to him is a blond woman, Heather Thomas, both of who starred in the original TV show in the ’80s.
