Google invited and more importantly paid for me to attend their developer conference in San Jose this year. This is the place to be if you’re interested in technology and specifically AI. At the end of the keynote they used AI to count how many times they said AI in all of the sessions: 120 times.

It is really exciting to meet so many amazing people here. I met many people at the conference, on young lady a talked to speaks 5+ languages and is working on her PhD in computer science. And she’s only 25. These are the people that will help shape the world of technology for the next few generations.

You can well imagine, when people ask me what I do and I tell them about RunPee they have nothing but questions. My throat hurts from talking so much. But it’s a good hurt.

One woman that I spoke to recognized the RunPee logo on my t-shirt and got all excited and asked me if I work for RunPee. (Many people think this is some large-ish business with a staff.) Inevitably people tell me how amazing RunPee is, and it is very gratifying to hear, but I have to remind them that this is solving a first world problem. I didn’t cure cancer, and Peetimes won’t create world peace. I shared that with this lady and she had the most amazing feedback. She told me that she has saved over 100,000 women from domestic violence situations, and that her work is extremely stressful and takes a lot out of her. She recuperates by going to the theater, nearly every day, to watch a movie and de-stress. It’s her thing to do and it really helps her. But, she recently had to start a medication that makes her need to pee on a sub hourly interval. Which makes going to the movies another source of stress. She found the RunPee app and it has allowed her to return to her favorite de-stressing technique.

She told me, “I literally save lives with the work I do, and I couldn’t do it without the service you provide. RunPee makes more of a difference than you know.”

Got this back when I was pregnant, but I’ll be keeping it forever, it’s just so handy. I don’t go to the movie theater that often (even back before quarantine when you actually could…) but I make sure the app and the movie list are all current and updated, cause it’s so handy! It’s great for running late cause you can read their

summary, obviously awesome for bathroom or snack breaks mid movie, and I also love that it tells you if there’s anything after the credits which is very handy.

Wow! That talk you had with the woman who helps women in DV situations really gave me a warm tingle! Many years ago I used to work in a similar field and it is heartwarming to find out that, in a very minor way, I’m still helping.
