Movie Review: My Life in Ruins

I’ve been packing like crazy, getting ready to make a big move and needed just a couple of hours to escape from the boxes and piles of stuff I hadn’t seen for years….My Life in Ruins is the perfect escape. There’s humor, tiny bit of drama and beautiful scenery. Nia Vardalos as Georgia, was very much like her character in My Big Fat Greek Wedding, (which is not a bad thing. ) We see Georgia change from being a frustrated tour guide to a charming, caring beautiful woman, over a four day tourist excursion. Richard Dryfus provided great comic relief and also a very touching, poignant moment at the beach. My Life in Ruins is the perfect get-away. If you can’t go to Greece, let Greece come to you at your local theater.
