Reset is a 15-episode series on YouTube about a young man and woman caught in a Groundhog Day-style temporal loop. The series is set in the picturesque city of Xiamen, China. The episodes all have English subtitles that are usually easy to keep up with. Occasionally, the dialog would come too fast to read, but that’s nothing a 10-second skip backward can’t fix.
The plot and character development are compelling. I wanted to see more at the end of each episode. Just because this series is on YouTube don’t assume that it has low quality. Reset has more than adequate production values. The acting is superb. Everything about this show is compelling and an easy show to binge-watch if you want.

The plot focuses on the characters and their growth but doesn’t get hung up on the causes of the temporal loop. I really enjoyed how the story evolves at a natural pace as the characters go through various emotional stages. There is a little humor to go along with the drama as the characters unravel the mystery that keeps them caught in the loop.
