This was a pleasant movie to watch. It wasn’t your typical Hollywood-manufactured drama, fair. And I would expect nothing less from director Ridley Scott.

Acting

This is where the movie shines the most. All of the actors are great from opening to ending. Again, great directing with great talent. I think my favorite actor in the movie was Josh Brolin. This is exactly the sort of role he’s best at.

Pacing

I want to say the pacing is slow, but I think deliberate is a better description. There are many slow developing scenes that work because we’re moving along with the character through situations. It feels like we’re sitting with them which makes the movie more enjoyable than something we only watch.

Cons

Not everything was perfect. I thought the entire Grand Junction stuff was just a little over the top bizare and out of place for the tone of the rest of the movie. I might have gone a different way if it were my call. Also the raider/reavers thing was I think a little implosible and frankly too zombie like. That felt a little too clichéic. Less is more sometimes.

This app is the best wingman for a movie goer, especially when you have to go. It even has a vibrating timer that is spot on for those 'go times' some of us need! There are many other features that are wonderful. It even lets you know when the kill scenes are coming up for the people and animals for those who may have sensitivities to that type of content. The staff go above and beyond!
