This is one of those movies where the plot exists to drive the action. And given that the runtime is just shy of 90 minutes—not including the credits—it’s the action that gets a front row seat. In my opinion, the action isn’t all that impressive. What I found enjoyable were the character moments, particularly from Jake Gyllenhaal, personifying the bad-ass, hyper-competent, and confident bodyguard character.
There’s also an element of a heist plot to this story. Not exactly a heist, but effectively one. That checks off another of my guilty-pleasure-genres in this movie.

The characters are interesting but unrealistic. I don’t think Rachel’s character exists in the world. But it doesn’t matter, does it? Her team is fanatically loyal to protecting her, we find out in about a 15-second flashback.
While I had almost zero interest in the plot, it was well-paced enough that I stayed interested. In fact, the beginning of the movie was compelling enough that I almost forgot to check for Peetimes. I normally start looking at about 15-minutes into the movie, but I was engaged enough at the beginning that I didn’t check until 20-minutes in. That doesn’t happen very often.
What people are saying
about the RunPee app.
Best app ever!
RunPee is the only app we use before movies and afterward. not only does RunPee tell you when it’s a good time to leave the theater, kids these days ask if there’s anything during/after the credits, and RunPee lets parents know when there might be some thing that a kid might miss!
RunPee has tidbits, ratings, leave the theater times, and lengths. This is THE VITAL APP for watching any movie!
We used it when my wife was pregnant, and we have recommended it to every pregnant gal we know! How else can you enjoy a movie when you have to go out so often?!

Plot
A covert team of elite operatives are living in the shadows. When a ruthless despot steals a billion-dollar fortune, they’re sent to take it back—an impossible heist that erupts into a deadly game of strategy, deception and survival.
Creator and developer of the RunPee app. When something doesn’t work right in the app it’s pretty much his fault. 🙂
Aspiring author. Would like to finish his “Zombie Revelations” trilogy if he could break away for working on RunPee and the cottage he’s building for RunPee Mom.
