Movie Review - Emma.
Fans of Jane Austen are going to enjoy this latest big screen production of her novel, Emma. Even though Ms. Austin's writing provides for a fun two hours of witty dialog, it's the magnificent visual impact of the English countryside with its equally magnificent manors that takes Emma. from a B rating to an A.
The production value of Emma. is off the charts amazing. The costume department did a wonderful job capturing the elegance of the age, and the set design was stunning.
The on-screen chemistry between Anya Taylor-Joy and Mia Goth was, simply put, the icing on this little cupcake of a movie.
This is a nice escape film that lets your mind wander to a better place, a better time.
Grade: A
