Even though Ms. Austin’s writing provides for a fun two hours of witty dialog, it’s the magnificent visual impact of the English countryside with its equally magnificent manors that takes Emma. from a B rating to an A.
The production value of Emma. is off the charts amazing. The costume department did a wonderful job capturing the elegance of the age, and the set design was stunning.
