Movie Review – Deadpool & Wolverine

Deadpool & Wolverine

This story is purely a vehicle to recklessly deliver the characters to every possible homage and hilarious fourth-wall break. Quite frankly, the story is crap. But it’s hard to notice because of all the humor and seemingly endless cameos.

I’m not sure what was the best part: seeing Hugh Jackman again as an R-rated Wolverine or the plethora of cameos throughout the movie. No, I think the cameos were the best part. One in particular. I won’t give it away, but I yelled out, “No WAY” when I saw who played Chopper Wolverine. If there’s one reason to see this movie sooner rather than later, it’s so that you don’t get spoiled by someone telling you details about the cameos.

The action was as hilarious as you could hope for. And don’t be late to the movie because the first 6 minutes are priceless.

Putting Wolverine to bed

I’m glad the ending avoided all the ultimate sacrifice tropes and gave Wolverine the honest ending he deserves. Hugh Jackman has owned one of the most iconic superhero roles ever for 24 years. This was the way to end.

Grade: B+

About The Peetimes: I didn’t expect this to be a Peetime Friendly movie and I wasn’t wrong. I think there’s one good Peetime in this movie: the 2nd. It’s full of exposition, but there is no action, very little humor, and no new characters. Plus, it’s relatively easy to summarize.

There are extra scenes during, or after, the end credits of Deadpool & Wolverine.

Movie Watching Must Have!!

I go feral for this app. I love it so much and I wish everyone knew about it and used it. It is incredibly useful and I would be devastated if this app ever disappeared. Things I love: 1) the pee times! It’s so handy to know the best time to go and then read the synopsis of what’s happening while I’m gone. I never have to worry about missing the good bits! 2) knowing if there is a post-credits scene or not. This might be my fav feature because I would have missed out on some pretty critical scenes if it weren’t for RunPee. 3) the movie review and viewer rankings. This info has made me watch some movies that I normally wouldn’t and it’s nice seeing things outside of my usual scope. 4) that it’s a small family run business. I love shopping small and it really does feel like I’m part of the RunPee family! If you reach out to them, Dan will personally respond to you and he is so warm and helpful. GET THIS APP AND THEN SUBSCRIBE! It is absolutely worth it and you’ll be using it again and again!

I really don’t get why the First six minutes were “priceless?!
There were too many fighting with each other scenes
I don’t even know who the “chopper wolverine was, and the last hour was the best
I liked some of the cameos and I love Dogpool !

    1. The first six minutes relates back to the ending of the movie “Logan.”

Chopper Wolverine was Henry Cavill, who was Superman in DC.

      Dogpool was hideously cute. 🙂

Is it worth the money to see this in 3d?

Yes, I feel like they made reasonably consistent use of 3d, and was worth the upgrade

(unlike, surprisingly an actual 3d movie recently viewed Inside Out 2 which maybe added to underwhelming opinion in the end)

Deadpool and Wolverine was definitely fun 3d with lots of action, depth of field with flying debris, fight sequences (some did go on a bit long or start feeling a little repetitive, but that could be part of the self aware humor, too ), and surprising cameos (no spoilers!) definitely recommend for a discount Tuesday viewing in 3d

Thank you! I will go see in 3D, then. I always like to ask others for the exact reason you mentioned in IO2.

  6. Dude, you said you didn’t want to give away who was chopper wolverine and then you said it in the comments. )-:

  7. You’re right. Sorry about that. I was replying to someone’s comment.

What is the expiration on spoilers? Personally, I think it’s after opening weekend. Although I can see an argument for pushing it until the end of the 2nd weekend.
