How You Can Help RunPee Grow
A RunPee user recently wrote to me: "I love this app and want to help it succeed. How do I share it?"
That might be the nicest email I've ever received, so the answer deserves a proper write-up. RunPee has no advertising budget. Almost everyone who uses it heard about it from someone else. And that's great because word of mouth is the best advertising money can't buy. Here's how you can help, from a few seconds to a few minutes.
Share straight from the app
RunPee has share buttons built in. Each one sends a picture along with links to download the app, so whoever gets it can install RunPee in one tap.
- Home Screen: Tap the RunPee logo at the top of the movie list to share the app.
- Peetimes Screen: "I'm about to watch…": on a movie's Peetimes, share the card that tells your friends what you're seeing. It's a natural way to mention RunPee before the lights go down.
- Movie Info Screen: Anything Extra: share whether a movie has a scene after the credits. Everyone wants to know, and nobody wants to sit through ten minutes of credits for nothing.
- My Data Screen: Your RunPee Passport: share your movie stats, favorite genres, and badges. There's also a "Share RunPee" button right there.
- News and reviews: every article in the app has a share button.
- Peeple's Poll (new in version 7.2): share the results to show what moviegoers really thought.
Follow us, and share a post now and then
Just following RunPee helps more than you'd think. A bigger audience means each post reaches more people. When you share one of our posts, it reaches people who would never have heard of us otherwise. That one share often does more than anything we can post ourselves.

Leave a review in the App Store or Google Play
This one takes two minutes and matters a lot. Ratings and reviews decide how the app stores rank RunPee when someone searches. A review that mentions a specific movie RunPee saved for you ("I didn't miss a thing in a three-hour epic") tells the next person exactly why they want it.
Tell the people who need it most
RunPee is useful to everyone, but for some people it's a game-changer: anyone who's pregnant, raising kids, managing a medical condition, or simply drinks a large soda. If you know someone like that, a quick "have you tried this?" is the most valuable share there is.
And when someone online asks "when's a good time to go to the bathroom in this movie?", in a Reddit thread, a Facebook group, or a movie forum, answer them and mention RunPee. That's the exact moment they need it.
Tell your local news
RunPee gets a lot of local news coverage, and it usually starts with one viewer or reader telling a station or paper about us. You don't need to be a writer. Ask your favorite AI assistant something like "How do I contact my local TV station and newspaper to suggest a story about a movie app I love?" and it will walk you through it. Mention that the app is 100% free and donation-supported, that it's been around for over 18 years, and that it's built by a small team.
Know a movie podcast or YouTube channel?
If you listen to a movie podcast or watch a movie channel, drop the host a note and suggest they invite me on as a guest. I love talking about movies, and RunPee has some stories. Tell them to get in touch through runpee.com. I can be reached anytime at [email protected].

Thank you, truly. RunPee has been a small, specific labor of love for over 18 years, and it has grown entirely because people like you told someone about it.
