Weekly Peeple’s Poll Results for January 27, 2020

Everyone is talking about 1917, and justifiably so because it’s an excellent movie, but Just Mercy continues to impress Peeple. By the end of the year both movies will likely be near the top of the favorite movies as voted on by RunPee fans.

We had three new movies out this week. The Last Full Measure scored very well, but that’s expected for a movie of this genre. Note that there were only 21 votes submitted for Last Full Measure, so take the score with a dash of scepticism. I did the Peetimes for The Gentlemen and agree with how Peeple rated it…it’s a quality movie that starts out a little slow and gradually builds to a rousing ending.

The Turning will be in the running as the worst movie of the year.  Yikes. I think only one movie has had a lower score in our voting history. Ironically, that was 2019’s The Beach Bum (also) with Matthew McConaughey.

The Peeple’s Poll is the most unique and accurate crowd sourced movie rating system on the Internet. It’s unique because Peeple (fans of the RunPee app) can submit both their PreExpectation rating (ie – thoughts before a movie), vs their After-Movie rating (when the movie is over). This way everyone can see how a movie performs before and after viewing expectations — because, let’s face it — we don’t expect all movies to be great. This really helps Peeple pick out the surprisingly good or bad movies in wide release, and not waste their time/money on unexpectedly poor showings.
We also ask Peeple who submit their rating to give us their gender and age. In return, we provide not only the total rating results for each movie, but also the results based on that person’s gender and age. Both of those features make the Peeple’s Poll unique.
This means it is nearly impossible for groups to try and game the vote, for better or worse. Plus, each person can only vote once. If you really want the best feedback for a movie possible, then  download the RunPee app for free.
Don’t miss your favorite movie moments because you have to pee or need a snack. Use the RunPee app (Androidor iPhone) when you go to the movies. We have Peetimes for all wide release films every week, including The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, Civil War, Monkey Man and coming soon Fall Guy, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, IF, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga and many others. We have literally thousands of Peetimes—from classic movies through today’s blockbusters. You can also keep up with movie news and reviews on our blog, or by following us on Twitter @RunPee.
