Running Late To Your Film? We tell you what happens in the 1st Three Movie Minutes in the RunPee app

Read Time:1 Minute, 31 Second

Here at RunPee World Domination Headquarters we’re always thinking about ways we can enslave you serve you better. 🙂 To that end, we added a hugely popular benefit for the fans in the RunPee app, called RunningLate.

Help - Running Late
The Running Late button is located below the “Anything Extra” near the bottom of the Peetimes Screen.

We give you a good description of the 1st three minutes of every movie we track Peetimes for at RunPee.

RunningLate is certainly not something that you want to use. But if you need it, then it comes in very handy. It might even save lives. Normally you might be in such a rush to get to the theater that you could be in an accident. But if you know what happens during the first few minutes, then you might just ease off enough to keep it safe on the road. Or prevent a traffic ticket!

It’s also a means for fans to determine how important the first few missed minutes are for that film. That way, you can decide if you should just wait for the next showing to catch those movie bits, or still get into the story with just the synopsis we provide.

  1. Absolutely – it is one of those things that will be of great value to some, and no value to others, but for the latter they just won’t look at it! IMHO it is a ‘why not?’ thing…

  2. I think this is a fabulous idea! I’ve run late many times and then have to wonder what I missed. Some movies do start off with a bang; some don’t. This will be extremely helpful.

  3. This is a totally awesome idea. I usually like to make a pit stop before the movie, but if the lines are unexpectantly long I’ll skip it and hope for the best. With this feature, I can make the pit stop without the worry of missing something crucial to the movie.

  4. I think this would be a great idea because every time I go to the movies with my friend, Lynn, she says we can be 10 minutes late because that’s how long the previews take. I keep trying to convince her that I want the extra time to buy popcorn, find a good seat so we can actually sit together and eat all said popcorn before the movie starts. I mean what more can I ask? At least, with this new feature I won’t have to worry about having a panic attack trying to get my friend to the movies on time and missing some important part of the movie and get stuck not knowing what I’m watching.

  5. No I don’t think this is a good idea people who show up late to a show are just disrespectful to the other movie patrons and think their time is more important than anyone else’s plus they just stand there looking for a seat in the middle instead of sitting at the end of the row and talking the whole time so this feature will just encourage bad movie going behavior.

    1. @Lars, Really? You think this feature would encourage people to be late to the movies? I doubt that. I can see that they might be a little bit later than they would have otherwise been because they may not rush quite as hard but that’s a good thing. It means they are being a little more safe out there on the roads.

  6. From Twitter:

jeremy_burke @RunPee In the words of Ben Stiller in Starsky and Hutch. DO IT! DO IT! DO IT!

aazizorg @RunPee another quirk of mine, so yes!

filmfreak75 @RunPee i’m one of those compulsive people who hates to miss any part of a movie for a Running Late feature would kick ass!

nthedon @RunPee that could be your best feature yet

  7. Hi Dan I did not say it would encourage people to be late to movies but would encourage bad movie going behavior being late is just one over this past summer I’ve have seem Talking during movie, talking on cell phone, playing games on cell phone, children to young for the movie complaining loudly they want to leave it’s got to the point that I may give up going to the movies and watch them at home which I don’t really want to do because I like the big screen show.

  8. I agree the movie going behaviour of some patrons is poor. Well, ok it’s the teenagers… They were so obnoxious in the last movie I went to see I wanted to chuck my tasteless pretzel at them.

I’m really don’t think this new app would encourage bad behaviour from the movie goers who are well behaved to begin with.

  9. Come on Lars, people have been behaving badly since the dawn of time, (that whole Cain and Able thing for example). I’ll bet the Romans had to toss a few toga-clad red neck out of the Colossum. I doubt this RunPee feature will incite riots in your local theater.

  10. Bad behavior is probably a societal constant no matter what.
