For those who haven’t seen this movie yet, What are you doing? “Toy Story 3″ has everything a movie needs plus more. Easily the best summer movie so far, which I known isn’t saying much, but also one the best of the year! The film has the charm and the spark of the first two films; but improves upon both. One thing that is remarkable about Pixar is that the film is in 3D but only for the effect of depth and to make it look amazing. And it sure does look remarkable with the 3D and it doesn’t need or have any cheap effects. Pixar and Disney consistently deliver better and better films every year. Last years “Up” was easily my favorite movie of the WHOLE year. “Toy Story 3″ is magical and continues to show that Disney and Pixar are unstoppable.

I loved Toy Story 3 and I’m a senior citizen. It was as usual, cute, charming, funny and at times exciting. Also this one tugged at my heart strings just a little, well ok, maybe a lot. In one scene all the toys face a horrible fate, and with great style and dignity they face they potential demise in a very touching and loving way. This scene alone was worth the price a admission. Also the last few minutes of the movie dealing with Andy going off to college and saying goodby to his childhood buddies is absolutely beautiful. A++++ for this movie.

When I first saw previews-of-previews for Toy Story 3, my heart sank. I thought, from the ads, that the story was about Buzz Lightyear losing his memory AGAIN. Did Pixar finally jump the shark? I worried.

Obviously the answer is no! Toy Story 3 delivers on every level – I saw several grown men wiping their eyes at the end of the movie. It was funny and touching and smart and it had heart. It is my favorite movie of the summer, so far.
